It was wonderful to arrive back on the Amalfi Coast earlier this week and find that I didn’t miss the arrival of spring. This is one of my favorite times of the year, watching the trees bud and blossom. In Amalfi on Wednesday I was looking down at the sun sparkling on the sea and noticed the bright green leaves on this fig tree. You can even see the little figs growing. Spring is here!
Buon fine settimana!

Beautiful picture! I guessed it was a fig tree because a friend showed my some fig trees that he had growing in his barn. He keeps them in big pots and will move them outside once it warms up a little more around here.

While Spring has definitely arrived here the fig leaves are not yet ready to emerge but we are further north after all. Have a good weekend Laura.

Laura,
Very inviting indeed. We will be in Campania in just a couple of weeks and can’t wait to feel the sun and smell the citrus blossoms. We’ll lookout for the figs as well.
Also, Thanks for the Wine tips on Charming Italy, they will certainly come in handy as well!
Ciao,
mike
