Last month I visited the island of Ischia for the first time. As the largest island in the Bay of Naples, one day is only enough to get a taste of the Isola Verde, or Green Island. Wandering around the town of Ischia Porto, this mural showing the distinctive Castello Aragonese and old-fashioned fishing boats caught my attention. The sunlight was harsh and yet the mural felt cool, the paint peeling off echoing the same red hue as the sun faded scooter. It is an image I’m happy to have brought home with me from a beautiful day on Ischia!

Thanks, Andi!! 🙂
Ciao Linda! Yes, I would highly recommend planning more than a day trip to Ischia. Capri makes a great day trip, but Ischia needs more time for sure.
Ciao Saretta! I hope to go back soon and explore more of Ischia. We just zoomed past most of the seaside towns on the island, but each one looked like it would be lovely to explore.
Ciao Anne! I could certainly spend a year exploring Italy! 🙂
Ciao Pat! I was walking by quickly, but I'm glad I stopped and snapped this picture. It ended up being my favorite shot from the day on Ischia.
